Characters you wish had gotten more screentime…

I know he's popular from other things, I love Wally in the comics and I loved him in JLU but this version of the character is entirely seperate. I do not let my views of other versions of the character get into my views of this version. And he is objectively the weakest character of the original 6. And yes his role in the plot was mostly to help move along Artemis being open with others and to provide comic relief, thats all fun to watch but is it as compelling as Artemis's family drama? Or M'Gann's identity crisis? or even Dicks fear of becoming like Batman? Hell no it is not. Wally doesn't even have a compelling backstory to make up for his lack of a compelling role in the plot. He's fun on occasion but he's just too uninteresting and undeveloped for me to care much for him, I can let that slide more for some of the S2 cast since they were always meant and written to be supporting characters but to one of the leads of the smaller S1 team? Then we got a big problem. Hell Id even say Zatanna and Red Arrow had more development are were more interesting than him.
Unfortunately Superboy has fallen into a similar situation in S2 though not quite to the same extent, still other than War when was the last time he had a scene that was not in someway about Megan?
And its not like he's the only one on this show who is benched in the NDCU, hell that applies to the entire original cast save for Dick and Superboy. Which says a lot about DCs failure at cross marketing since characters like the new Aqualad and Miss Martian are way more recognizable now than they were before. -

Dick's entire fear of becoming Batman was limited to about a minute in one episode. That point has been never brought up again. If you call that an arc, then Wally's maturation in Coldhearted and the first Dr. Fate ep is also an arc. Both of those eps were among my favorites in season 1. Plus he's fun. Its like the Wally in JL/JLU. For majority of that show he didn't have any major plot arcs, but he was still a fan favorite because he added much needed levity to the show. Wally serves a similar function here. He may not be a driving force in the plot, but his personality is enjoyable. Take 'Summit' for example, I loved his entrance quip to Savage "Hey there Vandy! Did you miss me?". Its his humor and personality which I have missed, especially since Dick himself has been reduced to a much more serious character.

Wally did not really mature or even really learn much in the first Fate episode, that was really only in Coldhearted. Wally in JLU had focus episodes fairly regularly expect for the first 13 episodes of JLU and he was one of the characters at the center of the shows major arc. Again I really can't care less if a lead character is funny if they are not compelling and do not have depth. And you had Bart who is at least slightly more comeplling than Wally around for most of this season to fill the levity role, even if he was partilly faking it.

Well I guess to each his own. I can't stand Miss Martian, even though she's had the most character development. Also, like I pointed out, Dick has also had very little character development, and most people still love him despite of that. I like Wally because he has personality which makes the scenes he's in a lot more enjoyable.

Queen Bee. She hasn't even used her powers on this show as far as I'm aware. And how was she responsible for the death of Gars mother?
Oceanmaster. He was a member of the Light then disappeared and was replaced with Black Manta. Did he kill Tula? Never explained. -

Even though he made some appearances, Black Lightning was replaced by Static. Was wondering how he fit in with the 3 Super Friends characters (Samurai, El Dorado, Apache Chief). Then noticed he's a black kid wearing black, blue and yellow with electricity based powers.

Tim Drake barely gets any screen time at all, and Batgirl barely gets more than him.
I think it sucks that Wally West quit too because he was pretty awesome. Hopefully, he will get more screen time.

Zatanna. Would have loved to see her and Dr. Fate take down one of those black beetle things together, in the finale. I also think she was kind of under-used. Wish she had gotten more fight scenes rather than showing up, doing an epic spell and taking down the villain. And I would have liked to see her take on Klarion AFTER growing up and joining the league.
Tim Drake was also underused as Robin. Barely any speaking roles and barely showing any fighting skills because he wasn't given scenes.
It seemed like towards the end Batgirl was getting more responsibility and speaking scenes but she could have been developed a little more.
I can tell you who was OVEREXPOSED thoughblue beetle. -

Towards the end of the season, I would have liked more screen-time for the original Young Justice, like Nightwing, Superboy etc, it seemed to focus on characters like Blue Beetle and Lagoon Boy, and that's what made the first season better IMO

Would've liked more Zatanna, Wonder Girl and even Rocket and less Ms. Martian, Superboy and just no Red Arrow/Roy Harper at all (they just annoyed me). Would have liked to have seen more of the relationships between the YJ teams and their JLA mentors, since honestly what little we saw wasn't very convincing.

Much Harm, left to do. One of my favorite villains, unfortunately he only got one episode.
I'd say Deathstroke and Zatanna also.
Overall I preferred the season 1 team, wish they hadn't done the whole 5 year time jump.
