So I re-watched MIIB the other day after many years and I'm wondering:
Is Agent L (Linda Fiorentino) dead? J said that she wanted to go back to the morgue and he "helped her". I always assumed he merely neuralized her and she went back to her old life as had just occurred with Agent T. Some friends though suggest that J got her killed and she ended up at the morgue that way.
    What do you think?

What is it with every Tom, Dick and idiot saying conspiracy theory or whatever to any one who questionsanything? or has a theory on anything. if you disagree with someone fine but don't use the word or say conspiracy theory for everything.. look up and define what the word means before you use it to try and sound smart at ridiculing "conspiracy theorists"

Interesting thought, but I think she got neuralized too.
On the other hand, if the actress pissed the creators off they might change it to her being dead. It's kind of dark humor that J would have gotten her killed.

I never really thought about it like that. I would hope they didn't kill her off. I just assumed that Jay neurolyzed her and she went back to the Morgue. Which in a way, does seem a bit out of character for Jay, who wouldn't neurolyze her. Kay didn't certainly didn't have a problem doing that though haha!

I believe she just went back to working at the morgue. It would've been perfectly in character for J to neurolyze her as he already did it to his partner at the start and was rebuked by Z for doing it to other partners in the past.

Obviously he neurolyzed her. First off, he neurolyzes his partner that we meet at the beginning of this movie. Secondly, doesn't Zed say something like "You can't keep neurolyzing your partners" or something along those lines? It has been a while since I've watched this, but I kind of remember that.
Plus, how would that have been in character at all for him to have killed her? Or, for that matter, how would that fit in with the movie at all? The Men in Black don't kill unless they have no choice. Otherwise, J would have just killed Jeff without a second thought.

Z talks about J neuralizing his partners and J says ''You can't blame me about Lauren, she truly wanted to go back to the morgue''
So in short, he neuralized her and she went back to her old job.
                    That's a Bingo!

Yeah, probably, but I do have to admit I kind of like the dark humor angle of L going back to the morgue as a corpse! I'm getting evil in my old age!

As somebody else here already said, your friends thought too much into it. I think it's made pretty clear that J just simply neuralized her and allowed her to return to her previous job at the morgue. It was shown that J had developed a reputation for neuralyzing his partners. He did it to T at the beginning and T even speculated (correctly) that J was going to do it to him, Zed told him he "had to stop neuralyzing MIB personnel" when J confessed to doing it to T, and a random agent at the MIB headquarters (Nick Cannon) asks J not to neuralyze him after J catches him putting a dead alien through "passport control". Not to mention, that would be very out-of-character for J and the overall tone of the films.
Interestingly, in the comic books that these movies are adapted from, the MIB don't neuralyze witnesses. They kill them. So if the films directly took every element from the comics, I believe that J would have indeed had her killed.
