With season 4 bringing the episode count up to 104, I don't think any other Marvel show has lasted that long (not even a Marvel production like the 80's G.I. Joe or Transformers).
That's impressive.
Even in terms of years it will have been on for 4 years (including 2016 when Season 4 finishs airing), and that makes it the second longest. Behind only the 90's X-Men which ran for 5 years. -

That was 65 episodes over 4 years (where as this series is 104 episodes over 4 years). Don't get me wrong, it was a great series (in fact it's my favourite Spider-Man series of all time so far).
But in terms of number of episodes, it loses sadly, to Ultimate Spider-Man. -

They keep changing it too (not to mention only 1 ep aired in '94 and only 2 eps aired in '98). But yeah, I always wished there was another season of that show cuz of the cliffhanger but instead we got Spider-Man Unlimited which I just couldn't get into.
But yeah, with the this show, the sheer number of episodes is huge. Like I said, not as good as the 90's Spider-Man, but passable. -

The 90s show actually did have a sixth season planned. It would have involved Peter traveling to 19th century London where the real MJ would have been found and Carnage would have became Jack The Ripper.
I'd also like to point out that some people like to use the length of a show's run to determine it's quality and use that as a reason to say it's better than another show. Well this should prove otherwise. I mean they have been plenty of good shows that have shined briefly getting only one or two seasons, while some inferior tended to drag on. If the overall quality of a show is gonna be judged by it's length, then by that logic that would make Firefly one of the worst shows ever. -

I had heard of that rumor but I didn't know it was confirmed. The premise is so-so, but who knows.
I agree with u about quality over quantity as well. I was simply talking about quantity though. But yeah I agree with ya about great shows lasting a short time, Green Lantern, Beware the Batman, and the rebooted Thundercats come to mind.
