He escaped death, sure but where did that leave him? Where was he to go? Seek out Swamp Thing and become the Robin to his Batman?

My wild guess would be Little Bruno took over as master of " the mansion estate by the swamp " since the former Arcane was no longer able to anymore ( so to speak
) . As for " Swamp Thing " he was fully at one with nature at that point so why not join it

he became an unwilling lab animal after Arcane healed from the stabbing (as shown in Return of Swamp Thing).
