This movie is a contender for the worst DC Animated film. I thought segments from Gotham Knight were bad. That's what it is, this movie is anime bad, in that the characters are not developed and behave randomly.
In the middle of being furious with Damian on KILLINGBatman throws a ninja star at Damian and when he catches it, replies "hmm nice reflexes" what the hell???!!! -

If you and the pros think that it makes sense to throw a deadly ninja star at a person that you were just yelling at them about killing, and then drastically shift to complimenting their reflexes is "positive", then what is "negative"? That's not the only example
Early in the movie, Damian is about to place Ra's Al Ghul into the lazarus pit, and Talia stops him, just because "he's far too gone"but why not try and see what happens?
The animation is top notch, but the writing and the voice acting is HORRENDOUS! -

Once you've watched the opening scene you'll most likely decide it sucks for yourself. Just seeing Ra's jump around deflecting automatic machine gun fire with his katana like a reject from The Clone Wars will make your heart sink.

Outside of this forum the reviews I have seen and the 4 external linked reviews have only been positive for this film.

Look, my favourite DCAU films are Mask of the Phantasm, Return of the Joker, Under the Red Hood, The Dark Knight Returns I&II, Justice League Doom, Crisis on Two Earths etcI'm NOT a troll here. This movie SUCKS. I'm trying to think of something positive and I can't other than the animation. Even the fight scenes are a little repetitive, and boring; Damian stands on an enemy's sword at one pointThe whole thing is a mess. I'm going to make a mental note of the directors/writers involved so that I can avoid future misteps like this.

I'm reserving my opinion until I actually see this movie, which will be today. However, the people on this forum are bringing up a lot of good, specific, objective points. They aren't just saying it sucks without giving a reason. I'm already losing hope, but I'll check it out.
