I have no idea what you mean by that but the fact you think they were added because they are 'hot' rather than for anything to do with the actual story goes to prove that their addition is rather pointless!

I can understand Pucci's involvment in the series.
I've seen episode 9, 10 and 11 today and now it's becoming clear what exactly is her role in all of this. As bitchy and naggy as she is, she's starting to make sense and I'm very curious about the final episodes.
I'm not going to discuss spoilers, but they appear to be pointing to something.
Now about Ames, I'm sorry, she's pretty to look at, but don't mistake my dislike for her as some form as mysoginism, it's not.
She's pretty to look at, but the fact that she barely does anything, her skills are for the most part worthless in virtually every episode. She can't fight and the moment she pouts and makes that obnoxious grin, lose all interest in the character.
It's nice to have eye candy, I can understand why guys would go crazy for Ames, but honestly

You were right about two things, ricksweetrick.
          One:
The role she played out in this season, had greater implications than what I originally thought. This season was entirely her story arc and everything started to click after episode 8.
          And two:
I was focusing so much of my anger on Ilsa, that I didn't notice the huge gapping flaw in this show that was Ames.

I agree with you guys Rick and Jedi. I started watching HT after coming off a Rome, The Whistleblowers, Luther bender. I saw the commercial with Indira, and said ok, I will give this show a try..but dang..tracking down this show was entertainment in itself. So I had to find other means to watch most of the episodes.
That being said, I LOVE season 2 !I think the cast is awesome and the female dynamic trying to adjust into this formerly boys club no rules etc. I think most of the common problems of this show could be easily solved by more episodes. That way the writing could be much tighter, because they will not have to pack so much into an episode.
Ilsa, I found, gives Winston something else to do and another storyline to follow, especially since most of her nagging and such had Winston written all over it.That is what I find strange when people complain about Ilsa and her nagging but they completely leave out Winston in that argument. Ilsa butts heads with them because she wants them to do better, but also she wants to be a part of the team..and like she says to bridge the chasm between them. I think also it is to have them recognize her more than just a paycheque .. So when she asks for an explanation to whatever, they damn well understand that she isnt a pushover and explain rather than shrugging her off. I was a bit tired of the how strong Ilsa is speeches, but I think her character is great. I am so glad they didnt do that ,will they wont they crap that can just frustrates an audience mentally blue balling them. Gave up on Bones for that same reason.
I think Ilsa and Chance both share the same pain and connection (hers being more understandable than his imo). And throughout the season you see them both heal each other. Like I said before, one thing that made Chance change his view on Ilsa I think was in the jungle. He betrays her trust for his old flame, and uses her basically, puts the other team members in danger , and in the end, SHE is the one that has to pay when Hector comes to collect when he beats the crap out of her. That is why in imbroglio,Chance is overprotective of her because he feels it was his fault, even though she never used it against him. She once again, repeats herself telling him to stop trying to save her, when faced in the situation she can take care of herself.
Also, there is a goodness and integrity in Ilsa that I think Chance is attracted to,and he wants to preserve it (ex. His speech to her in the jungle about killing someone). Mark Valley plays CC so well, I love his looks of when he sees Ilsa showing compassion to Julia, someone who its unclear if she had an affair with her husband. And on the roof where he is making a joke with her, only to stop when he realizes that she is crying. I think it will eventually lead him to forgive Baptiste and come to terms with his past.Like I said before as well, the episodes tend to mirror each other,The Wifes Tale, and Marshall pucci for example.
Like my husband said, he can relate to a man being attracted to a woman like that, where she still needs protecting and nuturing but she also has that fire to spar with him. And also a woman who is not afraid or too tough chick to show her weak sides or more importantly to view a man in a lesser state because he has one. That balance turns love into passionate love.
              Sorry for the novel lol.

Exactly, everything about Ilsa fits the story, because everything that happens is pertinent to her character and her backstory.
It's a different approach than the previous season, where Chance's encounter with many of the girls of the previous season had a conflict that was resolved in an entire episode.
But then again, most of those characters were somewhat humble people(except the princess on episode 11),however, a person such as Ilsa, who was married to a millionaire and it's hinted early on that something just wasn't right.
So whatever issues they would have wouldn't be resolved in the space of just one episode, there had to be someone bigger pulling the strings.
Again, Ilsa makes perfect sense, Ames, on the other hand, does not.

I think Ilsa is fine in the series, unlike Ames, who should be destroyed.
I was just watching the first TORCHWOOD episode again on BBCA and had forgotten that Indira had a two episode part in that.

She has ruined the show. It's only watchable now if I fast forward through any scene when she's on screen. I hate her character's whiny stupidity and fake Brit accent. Can't figure out why the real cast hasn't taken her money and disposed of her annoying body. Too bad, this was once a good show. I will never, ever watch anything else with Indira Varma in it. Time to spin off the Guerrero Show if they can't kill Ilsa off.

Couldn't agree more. The producers took an excellent show and ruined it (intentionally?) with the worlds most pointless and irritating character.

OK, I know this is a fairly old thread but FAKE ACCENT?? Indira Varma is British, from Bath and RADA trained. That IS her accent.

Fake british accent?? Perhaps u have been too doled up with the ridiculous american version of what they think the british accent sounds like. Indira Verma is actually British and I live in London. I have heard many times how people from Middle England speak. She has got it spot on. Somerset all the way.

I'm guessing most of the complaints are from people so stricken with ADHD or ADD that they can't watch something if there isn't a "BANG!" or a "BOOM!" every 2 seconds?
Or maybe they just dont like a character wedged into a show that serves no purpose other then to cause the guys problems This isn't Greys Anatomy. Extra drama is not needed. So I'll take your "ADD" and raise you "uselss dramatics". Cliche ones at that. So keep your comments that talk down to people like they cant understand drama. And assume maybe they just dont want it in a popcorn action show.
Because people with taste, patience and a lack of ADHD or ADD, really "love" the trite, hackneyed drama and romantic "tension" we see in virtually every show.
                            Thank you!
want nothing but trite melodrama and whose worthless time should be focused on soap operas and romantic comedies
Exactly. Its just there because somewhere in the last 60 years of TV its become the normal train of thought that it has to be there. It does not

Once in a blue moon we get a good show meant for men and they take that out as well. Aren't there enough chick flick nonsense pervading filth on television already? why can't you rounders keep the one masculine show out there going? Enough with all the female leads destroying the action genre. Leave the testosterone to the vessel it belongs to, you fecal m@ggots. Whats with all the rubbish female oriented turds filling television..Revenge is a case in example. If we wanted Pamela Anderson as Rambo, we would get a curative lobotomy anyway. This feminazi propaganda on television has to end. Someone has to paint a bulls-eye on these pu$$y whipped television creators and turn them into less-than-human targets.

the two females on this show, are from the UK so the accent might have one of the problems. and what 'Ginu tg-1' said is spot on?
