Hey. I'm posint gthis on every Batman board I can think of on IMDb and any other databases I find, so sorry if you see this elsewhere..
I'm very new to comic books, but I've always loved Batman, and I've always looked up stories on DC/Batman Wiki's so I know quite a bit behind the mythology etc.
I've recently gotten a hold of Batman Comics #1-713 and many graphic novels and Trade-Paperbacks. My problem is this, I wll be getting all the Detective Comis soon (or at least all the ones remotely related to Batman, if he isn't in all of them I've never read a Detective Comic) and I need to know two things.
One; if any one has, or wouldn't mind spending a lot of time making (sorry), a kind opf reading guide to Batman comics. For instance, have a basic list #1, #2, #3 etc. but if there is a Detective comic that expands on the story, or a shadow of the bat, legends of the dark knight etc. simply put that next as either #484a or 485a depending on the story it affects.
Two; I need help knowing what the various story arcs are as I have an entire folder of Knightfall seperated into Prelude, Knightfall (Broken Bat/Who Rules the Night), Knightquest (The Search/The Conquest), KnightsEnd, Prodigal, Aftermath and then various comics relating to it; Nightwing etc.
I want to group my files for example; #345-347 (The Cat Attacks!). so that I don't have to memorise issue numbers to find stories.
If anyone knows where sucvh a guide exists, or they would be willing to take the time to put one together, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks
P.S. Sorry for all this text

That's a
TALL
order OP. I'd suggest two things. First: wikipedia has a lot of that info. At least it's a start. Second if you're looking for a good jump in point I'd say start reading the main Batman titles since the New 52 reboot.
