Started out with a lot of questions about comic book movies/ action movies in general, did I like this or that franchise, did I like various actors, eventually zeroing in on MIBIII and whether I'd see it in theaters or wait for it or not see it at all. I basically told them that I didn't really care to see it, as much as I enjoyed the other movies they asked me about (Superman, X-men, Spiderman and Pirates) because the concept was fairly completely dealt with by the end of the first film. But from everything they did say, it seems that Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Barry Sonnenfeld are all in (Suprise!). Didn't give a release date

I wish I would have been in the survey. I've been pushing for an MIB III for over a year and made several posts in here about that. I will definitely see it and may even go opening week if Rosario Dawson returns as Will Smith's girlfriend.

I don't think Rosario Dawson could return nor would I want her to. She was just in it for one movie sort of like the bond girls. Over the years I've had a few ideas about an MIB 3, them going to another planet and saving aliens from being destroyed (a way the can write Rosario Dawson into the script).

I do not, do not, do not care for MIB becoming like the Bond films in that there is a "Bond girl" for each sequel and Will Smith becomes just another Bond having meaningless one-night-stands with eye candy that he either makes love to or kills at the end. Let Will Smith be the next Bond if that's gonna be the case.
I thought that one of the nice things about MIB2 was that there was a romance between Smith and Dawson's characters bringing a romantic comedy element into the comedic sci-fi formula, which was much more developed between that of MIB1 with Smith and Fiorentino, which I thought was woefully underdeveloped. The ideal situation was for Fiorentino to return in MIB2 so we could see the further development of that love affair.
Now that Dawson was established so strongly, I strongly think Dawson's character should be a permanent part of the MIB movie canon and somehow written into any MIB3. I posted a multi-chapter fanfic on Fanfiction.net that illustrates my scenario. Complete with climactic showdown in Times Square and a royal wedding on Zartha. -

actually it would make alot of money as long as they stick with the script threw out the first and second movie. now if they do that they should come up with a wonderful idea for the 3rd one. the only thing they just have to do is just keep on thinking while they are writing the script out. it may take long. but it be better off if they make the movie a little longer so the chances are the movie itself will make scence that way.

I can't understand why people say the movies sucked?
They were fun and fluffy and not supposed to be heavy handed "message" movies or dead on serious, just fun. And I liked both of them.
I'd love to see a third MIB and it'd be nice to see a new girl in it. So what if it comes off like the Bond girls? Dawson is over now and left. She is NOT a part of the fanchise, just that movie's girl.
Try just enjoying the movie for the fun of it.

My opinion is that MIB can be made to many sequels because the story really never endsthere is no exact plot. The first one explains how J becomes an agent and his first mission. The second one contienues the story and K comes back you know? There is no like big finale to the movie [or the series]if they come up with MIB 3..It should conclude with an enormous finalelike, matrix action! that's what I think.
