The Amazing Spider-Man and Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man? Does anyone know? Does the Spectacular spider-man tie in with the stories of the Amazing Spider-Man?

If you're talking about the comics, yes. They do tie in. After the clone saga of Spider-Man there was a villain called Carion who turned out to be a deformed clone of Miles Warren. He only appeared in Spectacular but the clone saga was done in Amazing. Of course when you get into the 80s and 90s you have all sorts of Spider-Man titles. Like Web of Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited along with Amazing and Spectacular.

Also, Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man, from what I remember, focused more on Peter Parker centred stories than Amazing (which focused more on Peter's alter ego).

Yeah. It originally was called that then they changed it to just The Spectacular Spider-Man.
