I'm considering reading them. My only problem is that I don't like to read/see explicit sexual stuff.

I'm considering reading them. My only problem is that I don't like to read/see explicit sexual stuff.
I know those obviously has a bit but is it littered throughout the whole novel?
I HATED Watchmen because of this.
Is it worth my time to try to read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? -

Obviously galliard1 is teasing you. LXG has a fair amount of sexuallity, but the story is so great that it won't bother you. Personally, I prefered league much more than watchmen, so I have a bit of a bias, but I would highly recomend it. The real explicit material doesn't come along until the second volume (which I think is far superior to vol. 1), but it isn't anything anyone over 13 couldn't handle. Is it graphic? yes. It it explicit? yes. But is it the best graphic novel I've ever read? Also yes. I'd give it a shot if I were you.

As hollywood2012 said I would say that the sexuality isnt anything extremely graphic, and it is so relevant to the story that it feels needed. They are such great graphic novels that even if the sexuality does bother you a bit you should DEFINATELY take a read.

Would someone that enjoyed the graphic novel "From Hell" but didn't like "300" enjoy this one?
I liked "From Hell" for the most part, although it got a little to philosophical at times, but I couldn't manage to get more than ten pages or so into "300."

FROM HELL is more like a novel than a comic book. Exposition and then some, is the rule of thumb.
LEAGUE is far more comic book classical, though clearly meant for adults. Especially V2, with the sexual acts it portrays. The work is strong, though not Alan Moore's absolute best.
You can find them on eBay for cheap. I picked up volumes 1 & 2 recently for $3 each, plus $5 shipping. -

OP, stick with anything labeled Disney if sexuality frightens you. I assume you are an adult and not going to read this to children. Get real. I hate when sex is used for no reason in a story but it is a part of our lives & can be used properly. The sex scene in Watchmen wasn't gratuitous, those 2 characters needed that release. If the director over did it, fine but it worked in the novel.
