Djimon Hounsou could play King T'Chaka (original Black Panther) who dies and leaves his son T'Challa (played by Lance Gross) the mantle of Black Panther for a possible sequel.

Lance lacks in the hand-to-hand department. I'd take Don Cheadle over him. Djimon needs to be in it absolutely.

I'd rather have Michael Jai White. At least then I'd know the action would be on point.

I think it's true what you said about Lance, but my main reasoning for choosing him is because he is young enough to play Djimons son if they went that route. The action would be on point, but I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of his acting. I don't think Spawn sucked because of him, but he didn't help it either IMO.

Yeah I like the idea of passing the mantle, that we Djimon could play a part which is a must IMO. But ultimately they would deg want a younger panther as the main draw card.

I would cast Chewitel Eijorfor (Serenity, Red Belt). He's a great actor who is at home with the physical aspects. He's about 36, so he wouldn't be too old, though that window is probably closing. If not T'Challa, he could make an excellent villain, like Eric Killmonger (Panther's Rage storyline, from the '70's).

The actor doesn't have to have fighting skills to be an effective cast for the Black Panther. Id love to see Chiwetel howeveryouspellhisname in the role.
Now u know why they call me Chicago Wind, fool.

Donald glover!!! only concern is he mite look a bit young compared to the cast assembled for avengersi no black panther won't be in that but I imagine he'd cross over into one of the other films eventually

Djimon Hounsou is 46, but I'd still cast him as Black Panther. Look at SLJ or Robert Downey, Jr.
