The ending to this film should have been like the comic, with supergirl getting vaporized, drawing out Sup's anger at Darkseid and pushing him into the source wallthat would have made for a better ending, than seeing him freeze in space

Except for the fact that comic ending was completely screwed up for how it contradicted itself. The entire motivation for Superman getting enraged, to the point where he could push Darkseid into the source wall, was Kara being killed. Finding out he orchestrated a fake-out for that not only contradicts the anger he showed, but diminishes the emotion of that moment. In hindsight, we learn he was simply "faking" that rage, makes me greatly prefer the movie's take.
"The End of the Beginning", 'cause on May 13th, Superman Begins~!!

I think SilenDues is right. The movie's interpretation made much more sense.

I liked the new ending/fight. They had the guts to do something completely different, no fake rage and corny speech. Instead, Superman is blasted into space and Kara takes on Darkseid one on one.
The only thing I thought was missing was the kryptonite ring. They should have kept that part in.
