Why screw over Katana?

In the Comic she joins with them just like Powergirl does.
If Katana had been written all together I'd get it, but why include her and then take away her significance?

Seems to be Justice League long time members bias over recently recruited Outsiders members!
Go figure? But i agree with you both. DC's DTV (direct to video) DVD films have a huge opportunity to showcase DC's secondary and minor DC comics characters, yet the DVD movies then to even cut their minor smaller appearences practically.
Leading us to always ask, why?
