Did anyone else catch the small edits they made for the series? I checked the GN and I found it odd to leave some things and take others out, they removed 'fa-gg-ots' and the "Burger's N Borsch" gag.
Will no one ever completely adapt the series?

haha i'm not pissed, i'm just saying if they're literally putting comics to motion, wouldn't all of it be there? i mean, what's the justification of removing them?

Watching it I noticed right away that Rorscahch's first hjournal entry was abridged. Three entire panels were cut before the line "quite a drop." So it was clear right away that there would be some editing. The reason? Timing. What reads on a page doesn't always translate to a screenplay. With the case of the journal entry it was maybe less necessary (they could have slowed the camera move), but with dialogue this is often critical.
I think the tight amount of editing was done. Every now and then I was disappointed at the pacing of the cuts, as sometimes an image and a line of text were meant to be experienced together, but mostly it was bang on.
I rather disliked the single actor idea though. Odd choice, that, when multiple actors would have been about the same cost. Well, not much more at any rate. And it would have translated better with more than one voice; it would have felt more like a movie than a guy reading me a comic book.
The next step would be for them to use the same limited animation on the mouths, and do away with the voice bubbles. Then you'd have - gasp! - a real cartoon!
