I loved Static too, Easy. I never read the comics, but I was hooked on the show until it was cancelled
I do try and catch it on Cartoon Network when I can though.
I was disappointed Static didn't get the chance to meet the Titans. I mean, come on, Batman said he'd meet them!! And they cancelled it at the worst time, there were so many potential storylines from that could come from the last ep.
Hmmm, a live action movie would be really interesting, I don't know if they'd ever do it, but if they do I would definately see it!
Reality is good for youin small doses.
    and really bad eggs

I see I loser29 is a comedian. Anyway, Richie is in the Comic. He wasn't at first, but I think they just recently added him. It may have been a comic based on the animated series, however.

He gets his power in the episode "Gear". He starts inventing things like crazy and his brain is on overdrive and Static realizes he had a delayed effect to the Big Bang. His power is inhanched intelligence and he uses that power to help him and Static make new tools to fight the Bad Guys.

Does the show ever explain where Richie found the parts to make "BackPack" as well as the tools that he uses? The spider like device.I am just wondering.I haven't seen most of the series.

They live in a city with a high-tech company that can't even keep their top-project mutagen cans secure from a bunch of punk kids. Knowing the top-level, top-secret security of Alva industries, you could get all of the supplies needed to build a nuclear bomb out of a nearby dumpster.

Well the original comic had been canceled long before Static was a telivision show. Sadly Static has never had a show based comic like Batman has (Batman: Gotham Adventures) or Teen Titans (Teen Titans Go!) but it should have it would have been awesome Ty Templeton would have made it perfect! Sadly it wasn't as well known as Batman and Superman and didn't have resorces like toys and only Subway would carry the toys and the show couldn't hold money ,but I think that the comic would have made a lot of money and given the show a chance to have like 7 seasons.

I think the cartoon is great also. It's nice to have a cartoon throw a couple of serious shows in with the light hearted ones. Is there a site where I can get more information on the comic. I'm annoyed at where the show left off and would like to know how the storyline in the comic goes compared to TV. All sites I find seem to be about the show anymore.

Now, with that said, I think that is high time Static join the Teen Titans. I am not really talking about the cartoon(although that would be nice), I am talking about in the comics.
Well dude, you got your wish. Static will be joining the Teen Titans in the comics. He's even going to be wearing the costume he would have worn if he'd met them in the show. Here's a link to some artwork. It features Static sparing with Ravager.
                          http://againwiththecomics.blogspot.com/2008/07/static-shock-joins-dc-u niverse.html
I really wish Static could have met the Titans in his own show. Maybe WB could make a DTV movie from this show that could promote Static's inclusion to the Teen Titans in the comics.
                          "The Static/Titans Movie"
could show Static meeting the DCAU version of the Teen Titans. The team could include:
                          Robin (Tim Drake)
                          Impulse (Bart Allen)
                          Miss Martian (M'gann M'orzz/Megan Morse)
                          Cyborg (Vic Stone)
                          Ravager (Rose Wilson)
(and if they decided to join Static and Gear)
The Static/Titans Movie could not hurt and would only spark more interest in this show, which may led to a complete release of the series.
