It's about time. James Harvey reports for The World's Finest:
"The Zeta Project" On DVD In 2009, "Batman: The Animated Series" Blu-rays Considered
September 16, 2008 by James Harvey
Warner Home Video has confirmed a 2009 release date for the DVD release of
    The Zeta Project
, and plans to look at other titles to release on DVD and Blu-ray.
Warner Home Video held their annual Home Theater Forum chat regarding television shows and animation on DVD and several DC Animation-related projects were asked about. For fans of the DCAU, news on a DVD release of
    The Zeta Project
was big news, as well as a surprise. The robot Zeta, lead character of
    The Zeta Project
    , first appeared on
    Batman Beyond
    .
Toward the end of the chat, Warner Home Video revealed that
    The Zeta Project
would see a 2009 release on DVD. Many more DC cartoon releases were mentioned, including other DCAU titles. A complete series collection for
    Superman: The Animated Series
is also being considered, as is a special edition for
    Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
, something fans have been asking for for over two years. Warner Home Video is also seriously considering releasing
    Batman: The Animated Series
on the Blu-ray format. No mention was made of a new possible
    Static Shock
DVD release. For now, the only confirmed release of the above-mentioned titles is
    The Zeta Project
    . Complete DVD releases of
    Static Shock
    and
    The Zeta Project
have been requested year after year by fans eager to have a complete library of DCAU animation. During the chat, Warner Home Video stated their goal is to release the entire DC Comics animation library onto DVD.

        This is
        GREAT
news! I'd love to own a DCAU show where Batman or Superman isn't the main character. Now if only they'd release Static Shock on DVD!
