That is just an unrated, slightly longer version of the pilot and not the complete series. The rumour was January, but since no info on it has been released yet, I don't think it is going happen then. There was 3 month lead time from the announcement of the release of
Blade: House of Chthon
until it was released. Maybe later than January next year the complete series box set will be released?

Yes, I've never seen a TV DVD release where they do not include the pilot even if it has already been released separately. In fact, I don't know why they bother really for those individual pilot releases like that. They did that for the Stargate Atlantis pilot, the other Sticky Fingaz series, "Over*There", and now Blade: The Series. I guess it's to get new viewers interested enough to buy the eventual complete series/season when they come out.
Good to see that this set has been finally announced. And good to see that there'll be unrated/extended episodes included. Gotta be a first for that. -

The DVD Blade: House of Chthon was released here in Canada about two months ago. The DVD consists of the opening special that was on Spike TV. The only extra/uncut addition that I could identify was a bit of female nudity at the beginning of the movie. Can't remember if there were any deleted/extended scenes in the special features of the DVD?

It wasn't their fault the series ended like thaat. They believed Spike would honor their agreement
Anyway I was against the ending until I watched the series a second time and I actually like the idea of the cliffhanger it just adds to the story here.
I am counting down the days until feb 12, can't wait to buy this.
