DVD Release This Summer! Holy Bat Miracles!!

I just thought I'd share the good news that WB is supposed to announce sometime this week that the New Adventures of Batman series from 1977 IS being released on DVD this summer in late June. This was according to www.tvshowsondvd.com. It will have all 16 episodes plus a featurette called Dark Versus Light: Filmation and the Batman, plus not one but two episode commentaries. Whose doing the commentaries has not been revealed.
The New Adventures of Batman was my first ever exposure to the Batman Universe and was the birth of my Comic Book and SuperHero geekdom. And I have never been more excited about a DVD release than with this series.I am especially ecstatic because of its rarity. WB is also planning to release 36 of the 60 something episodes of the New Adventures of Superman from 1966 as well.
The prices of these DVDs will be $26.99 each.
