rofl i hope it was cuz the guy who played the sheriff was just too bad. seriously. what's with the voice? and what a terrible, terrible actor. and rachael taylor needs to work on that american accent, she was barely intelligible. we watched this today on TV and laughed our way through it. also, the fact that they cast a maori actor as a native american is pretty sad.

what on earth for? it might have even been half-way good if it was dubbed better. god, that explains a lot, we were wondering why there was dialogue going on, but the sheriff's mouth was really obviously not moving. thanks for that, i was creeped out by the ventriloquism.

no, i'm in australia, we got the whole thing (more's the pity). we saw the oil pumping, the shagging and everything. we just had really cra*py dubbing, that's all. it was confusing. lol but it was enjoyable, in a strange way. oh, i'm sorry, you seem to really like this movie, and i think i might have enjoyed it were it not for the shoddy dubbing and the fact that, in australia, rawiri paratene is regarded so highly as one of the great things to come out of new zealand, so it was really strange, almost ludicrous, to see him play a native american. also, what was the reason behind making the man-thing so, well, evil? i've read one of the comics before (which is why i chose to watch the movie), and he seemed to be a fairly benign sort of character.
