Why do you not go to the movies now you could get a steep senior discount apparently!
I have a large collection of movies on DVD and access to others on the internet. There aren't a whole lot of films that I want to see in a theater, so it isn't a question of money, or a discount. I can wait until the more recent releases show up on cable (generally within a few months).
The only movie that would have induced me to visit a theater was
Stan and Ollie
(2018), but it never played my local area. I snapped up the Blu-ray as soon as it became available, and it has since become one of my favorites.

The first film I remember seeing in the theater as a kid is Pete's Dragon in 1977.
The last film I saw in the theater is Terrifier 2.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -

The first? Wow. I think it's safe to say most people have no idea what the first movie they saw in theaters, unless they're still kids.
Not only do I remember the first movie I saw in 1952, I can also recall trailers for certain films that looked interesting that I didn't actually see until years later on television.
Attending the theater with friends (away from parents) at the age of six or seven was an event and was not uncommon in those days. So, it is not inconceivable that a flood of memories will surface all these years later when I come upon
It's a Dog's Life
,
The Little Fugitive
or
Invaders from Mars
, all of which had a magical effect on me.
