^^This one reminds me of Cruise himself. I mean, the man continued to run on a broken ankle so that the scene wouldn't be ruined.
^^One of my favourite movies, and by far, one of the most beautifully filmed scenes.
^^One of the most important and poignant scenes in cinema with a very important message.
(I obviously couldn't pick just one because all three are pivotal to each other).

The Caine Mutiny is a good movie. Not a great one. It does feature one of my favorite scenes:

In Pulp Fiction the scene where John Travolta goes into the ****house and leaves his firearm outside the door and Bruce Willis finds it. It was the look on Travolta's face when he came out of the ****ter and saw Willis holding the gun.

I liked the scene in Pat Garrett And Billy The Kid in which Billy The Kid (played by Kris Kristofferson) had a duel at 10 paces with Alamosa Bill (played by, I believe, Jack Elam). Billy turns around after about one pace, and a few paces later Alamosa Bill turns around and Billy shoots him. Then Billy says to the dead or dying Alamosa Bill, "That wasn't ten, hoss."
I also liked the scene where Slim Pickens gets shot and Knocking On Heaven's Door plays (which Dylan wrote specifically for the soundtrack of that movie).

Yah. I know dat scene. I'm a fan of Peckinpaugh but
"Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid"
is a difficult movie to either watch or to love.
Everyone in it, seems like a bastard. Some kind of low-livin' backstabber. There's no one in it one can admire at all.
Sam has several flicks exactly of this same stripe. It sucks he couldn't get his hands on better material.

At the time I first saw it, '73 or '74, I was pretty young, and what seemed, at the time, like quite graphic violence, made an impact on me. I still enjoy it occasionally (meaning once in a blue moon) but maybe that is due to nostalgia. Nostalgia or not, Knocking On Heaven's Door is a pure classic.
