Who visits IMDb anymore? That site imploded like the town of Johnston after the flood.
IMDb 'ratings' system was always bogus, always suspicious. It invoked furious –and scathing –debates during its heyday. It folded up like katydid wings, under dissection.
Even worse once IMDb became Amazon's bitch. A total write-off.
No one I know pays ANY serious attention anymore to its preposterous ratings system. What a joke.
If you want ratings, just consider whether a film is Criterion or not. That's the first acid-test. That's your first starting point.
