I had more characters I liked and related to more than looked up to, like Edward Scissorhands, Kevin McCallister, Casper the Friendly Ghost, etc. especially Edward were all characters I related to at least at one point in my life.
There were some I sometimes wished I could be more like, but role model feels too strong a word because I don't want to be too much like them (aside from Michelangelo, but yeah, don't wanna be a child killler like Freddy). Like, I liked the way Michelangelo was a fun, easy going guy. I kinda became like him when I smoked weed, until it amplified my mental illnesses.
I also really loved Beetlejuice, Freddy Krueger, The Mask, and the Joker. My filmboards persona is kind of influenced by characters like that. It's why the Norse god Loki appealed to me since I saw The Mask.
There are probably a few more I'm not thinking of in the moment. -

I liked him. I always latched onto any show or movie with a blond boy in it because I felt like like an oddball among my usually darker haired peers, and I got too much attention from it. I hated being blond, so it was nice seeing representation lol. Felt less different.

Nice one lol. I can relate to what you're saying but I never felt weird or hated having dark hair among all the blonde haired people here in Norway. I liked being different and embraced it. It was nice seeing a girl that sort of looked like me on screen though like Lana Lang or Kristin Kreuk.

For me it's Lana Lang from Smallville. Have you seen it.? It's not a movie though and she wasn't exactly a role model but just a character I somewhat related to on screen. I could have been a very popular teenager and young adult like her but I just chose to be by myself most of the time like we talked about.

I stopped at season like 7 or 8. I just watched it for the beautiful Asian girl. 
But it was a good show. I like Michael Rosenbaum. He became one of my favorite actors.
