If SOTL is seen as offensive by some, tough tamales! They would be a minority.
Psychos operate in all walks of life and Buffalo Bill had many other issues.
I haven’t read the book, but he presented as male, his sick proclivities were private and as explained, his pathology was a thousand times worse than a generic trannie.

That is absurd. Rachel Welch- that is Rachel Welch being interviewed right? The camera is too far away to see clearly. If so, Rachel is playing what I call "Mean Girl" card. It was a mean thing to say about an icon. In some ways Mae West was more of a sex symbol than Rachel Welch. Mae wasn't drop dead gorgeous, her aura was sexy. She had a pretty singing voice as well.
Mae West wasn't that beautiful of a woman doesn't mean she was a man. I think it is completely offensive to label ugly women as men. I'm looking at all the photos in that creepy YouTube video you shared. In all of those photos, Mae does not look like a man dressed in drag. -

I love "Come Back to the Five and Dime… Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean"
The movie is filled with excellent performances. It is possibly Karen Black's best performance, or at least I think so. She should have been nominated for an Academy Award.
"My life is over. I might as well dance with Johnny Slash!"
