French film legend Brigitte Bardot has died at 91, her foundation said Sunday.
"The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with immense sadness the death of its founder and president, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to abandon her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation," it said in a statement without specifying the time or place of death.

RIP - An huge star when I was a kid and French films were at their best, and fashionable.
But it's years since I watched one of her good early French or silly British films. The only film that regularly creeps in to the schedule is Shalako (an enjoyable bad movie).
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!
