What's with these whiny posts these days? Look, I don't agree with all the posts I read here either but unless someone is being truly offensive (having a differing opinion or critizing the object of your fandom is, shockingly, not considered offensive), there's no reason to post this kind of crap. If you don't like something, don't read it. Simple enough.
That said, it's natural that people would say BB looks bad. She does. She was also regarded for the way she looked so many years ago. When any famous figure changes from the way people remember them, there's bound to be criticism. Some people think that female sex symbols are never suppose to get fat or age. That's not realistic of course but the entire concept of a sex symbol isn't entirely realistic either.
All that said, BB probably got tired of the beauty grind and obviously did little to combat the signs of aging. In a way, I applaud her because she looks real. If she'd gone the often traveled plastic surgery route, she would look as fake and phony as the rest of those actresses who mess up their face (and receive scorn for doing so). At the same time, there's nothing wrong with someone who at least takes care of themselves. A woman like Ellen Burstyn who is around BB's age (older in fact) looks fabulous because she looks welb68l put together and real. In fact, I'd say she looks better now than she did when she was in her 40s. Same goes for Meryl Streep (yes, I know, she is younger than BB).
Retired sex symbol or not, BB looks like she just gave up. One doesn't have to be nipped and tucked to look good over 50 but one should at least wear some sunblock, scale back on the heavy black liner and keep their teeth from turning a dingy yellow. -

Ruby Dee and Diahan Carroll are examples of women whom have aged well. They're in their 89's and still look better than some of these plastic women today. Bardot looks like a crumpled price of paper.

Black skin seems to age better than white. Just a personal impression. My very light white skin began to turn papery when I was in my mid
-50s. And I stay out of the sun!
Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!
