    Um
Well, theres in every generation somebody, even really intelligent people, who believe just that.
S2000ome scientists in the 19. century for example thought so.
And then came Einstein. And Heisenberg. And others.
Personally I dont think we are at an end. Quite on the contrary I feel like theres a new breakthrough at the horizont.
You shall have no other Kates before Kate Winslet.

      Somebody said that in 1880.

        Sounds like eugenics.

Time wasn't BB's only enemy though. She simply didn't take care of herself. Compare how she aged to Raquel Welch or a Christie Brinkley.

I would rather think thats genes, not "taking care". Some people just age better than others.

Genetics plays some role but this woman smoked like crazy which wrinkles the skin. Also, no sunscreen, eating unhealthy (sugar ages), no exercise (no muscle tone) and stress will age people.
Compare 50 year olds today against 50 year olds a few decades back. 50 year olds a few decades ago didn't wear bikinis and look good in them.

Yeah, Brigitte's current look is definitely down to smoking and excessive tanning. It doesn't even really have anything to do with looking "young": even though women like Christie Brinkley, Jane Fonda, Raquel Welch, etc. DO indeed look fantastic, Helen Mirren is an example of someone who looks her age yet is widely considered beautiful and even sexy by the mainstream. Brigitte looks like the crazy old woman with 1000 cats in her house - she probably doesn't care though, so if she's happy, good for her.

The woman is over 80 years old, how is she supposed to look? While I agree the smoking and sun worhship played a role, it doesn't look like she had any surgery.
Which is worse looking old or looking like a freak? While Christie Brinkley, Jane Fonda, and Raquel Welch all look amazing, they're the minority. Many older actresses who overdo the surgery look inhuman.

I'm sure Jane, Raquel And Christie had plastic surgery too. Brigitte was a great beauty in her younger years, but never had surgery. That's the difference.

Don't compare those who live on botox and surgeon's knife to someone who aged gracefully, without plastic surgeons. Raquel got fake teeth and wig and Christie is over 20 years younger than BB. Simple as.
                      Viva Bardot!

For someone in her 80s, she looks pretty darn good to me. You're probably more concerned about her looks than she is.
By the way, my cat is 21 and he's doing fine. As much as I've tried to get him to eat a balanced diet ( wet and dry ), he seems to have a mind of his own. In any case, you seem to be a little too over-dramatic about it.
