I discovered it recently and just fell in love with it. I can't understand a word but the tunes are catchy as hell and her delivery is playful and charming. There's a cd called The Best of Bardot that contains all of her best songs.

I have only heard three of her songs, which I have on my iPod!
L'appareil sous(coy and playful, still the 50's Bardot), Moi je joue(coy and playful again) and Harley Davidson (sexy badas! 60's Bardot attitude, watch the vid, my friend dressed up as her in that vid for Halloween;) but I love them! I read that Serge Gainsburg wrote songs for her. Which ones? I used music to help me when I was learning French in school, really,

I bought the, I believe, first LP she made back in the 1960'sit had a great pic on the cover and the lyrics in English inside.as you said, very catchy tunes, indeed!!!..and you could understand every word; even though I know no French; what I mean is her enunciation was crystal clear.and such a big variety of songs; all different styles, tempos, etc.a really good album.in the meantime, it did come out on CD so of course I had to get that too..LPs are back in style, but mine was very old and scratchy!!!

Glad you got to get acquainted with BB as a singer.I thought it amazing that her diction is so clear and easy to understand.the tunes are catchy and very well-written, too.
There are not many film stars, esp. Europeans, who can claim to be as good at singing as they are at comedy!!!
