Damn…. I recommend checking out his best role, "Ace in the Hole" (or under the alternate title, "The Big Carnival") directed by Billy Wilder

I was JUST going to post this! Once again, you beat me to the punch.
Amazing man, amazing actor. He made it to 103! Pretty impressive, especially by Hollywood standards.

You were the first with this news. You posted a whole couple of minutes before me.
I'm not certain of what one wins, but if this were a contest, you would get the Whole Enchilada!

I was just watching David Muir on the nightly news. i was stunned, but not really surprised. He did live a long life and he had quite an amazing career.
Wasn't he in a movie with Doris Day and Lauren Bacall? A Man With a Horn, or something like that? My memory is faulty.

I got some of the title wrong on that movie.
Young Man With a Horn, 1950. I have only seen it a couple of times when we had Turner Classic movies.
Here is the theatrical trailer…

I remember this one! Considering I've seen most of them since the beginning. I watched the ones with Hal Block the first time around, but when it got to watching them all for a second time (since there are so many), I'll admit heavy heartedly, that I skipped the ones with Hal Block as I started watching again,… I cringed every time I watched that man on screen!

He lived all of his one hundred and three years to the fullest, and left behind a lifetime of cinematic classics for us to enjoy in his absence.
May he rest in peace.
