Does anyone get the feeling that Pierce thinks his days as a heartthrob are over?
In the November man he gave the love scene to luke Bracey, in Some Kind of beautiful while did play a Bond like character he ended up with the woman closer to his age.
I have more respect for him because of it like he understands he can't be the sexy leading man forever and is letting the new generations shine.
Actually George Clooney and Brad Pitt while still getting leading roles are quite removing themselves from parts like Tristan and Danny Ocean. This used to get me angry but i now I respect them more for that its like they understand the new generations are coming and they can't pretend to always get the girl.

Sean Connery still took lead in action films up to his early 70s though his days as hearttrob is another story.

Well yes that's what im talking about, sure Pierce still loved acting and i bet he wants a comeback but i was once obssesing for an impossible which is the 90s actors still getting the hearthrob parts. But i guess now Pierce seing this as his past has made me move on as well.
He loosk great for his age and very capable of doing great action but it was ridiculous what i was pretending.

I know Pierce has potential to prosper after Bond. He said that he wanted to do more with the Bond character than his predecessor. He may not had the chance to do so, but he can still take his post-Bond career to next level much more than his predecessors (especially Sean) are doing today. Look at Patrick Stewart. Thanks to X-Men, he took his career to the higher level a little more than any of the Star Trek actors. This is how I want see from Pierce.

Yes then i can see him get great roles again but in a new phase just like Michael Keaton with Birdman and Spotlight or yes Patrick Stewart.
Yes i do wish this happens but i was kidding myself on the type of roles i wanted for him. I wanted Pierce to romantic leading man, I wanted for him a Fifty shades of Grey type of role and those days for him are over.
But did you last oscars? It was surprising hoe very little old school actors appeared most of the actors were new. No Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta Jones, George Clooney Johnny Depp, Salma Hayek etc.
It was like a whole new generations Oscars. So my consolation price is that its not only Pierce but most of his generation are sloing down even Richard Gere is almost out but him almost as a choice rather than loosing his popularity he cares more now about promoting budhism and supporting conventions with the Dalay Lama, Angelina while she did great with Maleficent seems like she doesnt care about being a movie star anymore now her passion seems to be her job with Unicef.
What its happening with that generation that many of them are loosing their passion for film itself as an entretainment. They are using film to promote their causes and belifs not anymore because they love acting and the love of their fans as movie star.
Clooney used to adore being a movie star he just doesn't care for it anymore.
Do actors loose their drive once they get to a certain age?
Not all there are some exceptions: Brad Pitt seems to still enjoying doing blockbsuters, Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Cruise seem to still enjoy the buisness.
So I don't think Hollywood is that unfair anymore many loose their status by choice.
poor angie many blamed her for the breakup of Jennifer and Brad but i just think now they broke up for different intersts, for Jennifer her priority was her career and being a movie star for Brad was having a family and jut doing films for art and stardom was just the effect of doing his job right.
Sorry for getting so out of topic but still took me to my point Pierce himself understands there is a cycle and he is now slowing down and understands its time for the generations to take the spotlight after all he did have a very good career from 1995-2009 when he did remember me.

Pierce has proven enough as a romantic lead already, and he's been doing that since Remington Steele. What he needs is VERY good action film, not just a VERY good action film but also memorable one. In a word: CLASSIC. Sean did action films up to his early 70s so why Pierce should be any different? I'm happy his true grit that could've been utilized in his Bonds was finally showcased in November Man, but I feel that this part of him is invisible to the wider audience since November Man suffered bad reviews and did not get make enough money. Those bad reviews made his talents looks like as though they've been wasted. If only he has great directors and great scripts, that would make a difference.

Its not action but i see an oportunity for a comeback in the tv series The Sun.
Seems like it could be his comeback and get his films on the big screen, The November man could even get a Re relase if the tv series The Sun is a hit. Lets cross our fingers and does well, it could give his career the revival we all want, TV is expiriencing a Golden age.
So i have faith in that show and if it doesn't i stay in what i said at least he had 10 great years of a career in his prime and we can look all those movies a 1000 times but the chance of a comeback has finally arrived lets hope it works.

His last TV return with Bags of Bones didn't work out. Hopefully The Son will be just as big as The Walking Dead.
