Nice to see another post " The Fog " as # 1.. JC always looked down as that film as a failure not living up to the success as Halloween.. to me it is his most cinematic achievement.

Yep, I found it to be a treat to watch. The setting, eerie atmosphere (I just love those shots of the coast), tension, strong characters, music and deceptively simple cinematic techniques all add up to a very satisfying film.
Halloween could be the best of the sub-genre but slashers are not something I'm crazy about.
