What do other Carpenter fans think of his follow up album? I think it's pretty damn good. "Angel's Asylum" and "Bela Lugosi" are two of my favorite tracks.
What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life! -

I liked it. I've had the CDs for both albums for a while, but only listened to them recently, close to the Carpenter concert. When I listened to "Lost Themes", I was mostly disappointed except for a few tracks like "Vortex" and "Domain". I thought by and large it was a bit too improvisational and random. Then I listened to the second album and got more in tune with what they were trying to do with both albums. "Angel's Asylum", "Windy Death" and "Utopian Facade" are probably the best from this. Many of the tracks sound similar to the Italian-flavor horror scores; most likely this was intentional. I went back and listened to a few tracks from the first album, and they jelled a lot better. I still wonder how much total input Carpenter had, and I'm saying that mainly because he's been so dormant for so long.
