Yes, it was a great show, but unfortunately the theater I was at had a horrendous sound system. This was in Pittsburgh. The whole set was drowned in bass, so much so that I didn't even know right away that "Halloween" had started the opening tones were so faint. Some of the lesser known album cuts like "Purgatory" were indecipherable. The actual bass lines, such as in "Assault", sounded like huge farts. It really dampened my enjoyment of what was clearly a great show from a musical perspective. I talked to others who didn't have this issue, but I was only ten rows from the front (albeit on the right side section), so I don't know why my area was in a sonic dead zone. I'm actually a bit pissed off about it because this was a one-time experience.

I've got tickets to see him in Manchester in October. Can't wait!! Just hope the sound system is good. We saw Hans Zimmer not long ago and, although fantastic, there were places where you I felt the sound system was set up by someone who confuses 'volume' with 'quality'.

He had us in the palm of his hands after the first few notes. Funny thing was at the very track his keyboard stopped working, but he took it in his stride and reacted to it in a very professional way. It got sorted in minutes, and the show went on.
I met him and his son Cody after the show and he signed my ticket. He said:' man, I'm so tired, I too old, too much dancing!' ;D lol.
He was really nice, very down to earth guy. His son was a bit shy, but also very nice.
I would recommend to go see the show if you love Carpenter, it's great! -

Very simple stage set; a few lights and a large screen taking us on a whistle stop tour of the movie whose sound track was playing. However, it worked perfectly.
You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink! -

yup, the stage was very simple and all the more effective for it. i actually thought those two light stands at either side were amazing, very powerful and they set the mood just right. i also loved the way the screen had four extra sides to project on. Brilliant set up.
