I know this can't be said by everybody, the thread title refers to my point of view. I remember seeing her in Labyrinth for the first time, I was around six years old (1986). I thought she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen up to that point. Being that young I had no idea what that even meant.
Flash forward a few years and I see a movie "Rocketeer". Again, I see her and think, "wow". Still hadn't really had a girlfriend but I was starting to come of age and look at girls in a different way then before.
Around 19 I move out on my own and find this website called "IMDb". It was a lot of fun discovering new movies and trivia about my favorite actors and actresses. Of course it wouldn't be too long until I found Jennifer's page and I was very anxious to see what she had been up to as I hadn't seen her in any major movie.
I see this movie called "Requiem for a Dream" that was being released in 2000. I said to myself, nice! I'll have to see this one.
As you can probably guess, I did. and oh my god I never been more shocked in my life. I could not believe the role she played and how my childhood crush was treated!! It was like watching the girl next door slip into drugs and not be able to do anything about it. (pretty much the movie) But it made me appreciate her as an actress and I knew it was an effective casting choice, maybe others fb68elt the same way I did.
I remember people saying it was hard to watch Audrey Hepburn in "Wait Until Dark" for similar reasons because the people loved her so. Maybe a bad comparison but do any of you have a similar story about an actor or actress?

No. Never seen it, nor heard of it until you mentioned it here. I just looked it up and sounds like an interesting little flick. Perhaps it would have had a similar effect on me like Requiem for a Dream, but that would have made me ten or so around the time that movie was released. I was into the Rocketeer around that time

I agree that she is one of the most beautiful women in the world. I sure li5b4ke what she look like a lot more before she had her face lift and boob job.
her round face and very innocent look was certainly a turn on. -

I don't think she had a face lift, her her weight loss just made her face look somewhat different in shape.
Her boob job was to have them reduced, and that was also effected by weight loss.

For sure. First saw her in Labyrinth in 1986 when I was 6 years old, developed a huge crush on her, and simply never got over it.
In her prime (probably early-20's), she was in my opinion, simply the most beautiful woman the world will ever see.

Yes I was lucky to watch Labyrinth. I was only about 8 or 9 and remember going to watch it with my friend and older sister. The feel of that movie was incredible, but it was the booming sounds and music, as well as the imagery, that sticks with me even today.
