Johnny Depp, 60, received $1 million in damages from his ex-wife Amber Heard, 37, over a year after their defamation trial ended, according to TMZ. The publication reported on June 13 that
Amber’s insurance company paid the settlement from their trial
, and Johnny is allegedly
giving away all the money to five charities
. The Pirates of the Caribbean star will reportedly donate $200,000 each to Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society and the Amazonia Fund Alliance. Those are five organizations that Johnny “believes in,” TMZ said, so the Oscar winner wants the money to go there, instead of in his own pockets.
AH's insurance company (

AH herself) finally paid $1 million to Johnny Depp. Depp is declining to pursue collecting the full amount. He said his intent was never to empty AH's pockets but it was always to clear his name and reputation.
Upon receipt of the money, Depp divided the money and DONATED to the 5 charities listed above. Depp donated $200,000 to the charity that AH "pledged" the money to, but never actually paid.

Absolutely, yes!
This man is precious and must be protected. He's a gem. He's so humble. AH never forked over a dime out of her own pocket, so she didn't even feel a pinch. He's not even pushing to get the rest of the judgment she was ordered to pay. If you look at the charities Depp made donations to, they are pretty diverse and all for the benefit of children. This is in addition to the unsolicited charity work that he does.
It's astonishing that people can witness his
decades
of acts of kindness, including these donations to charities, and not see what a magnificent heart he has.

How many people do you know, personally, who have donated $1 million to charities? (He's donated considerably more than that over the years as well as giving a great deal of his personal time). People who give back to society are gems in this world. As for the band, they seem to be doing quite well for themselves and selling out each leg of their tour. They must be doing something right.

Of Course we should Feel bad for these disturbed filthy rich and famous people. Im sure they were probably boing’ everyday behind the court. Good Johnny was doing his own attorney, and publicly came out with it. No wonder she was bitchin’ at whore Amber who was Sucking Musk’s Dick on the Side for Billions but yea, trash whored and left Depp dry after the divorce had not a dime cuz she spend it all on Coke! Dont believe the hype. They both still bonking behind close doors and all of this is a set up for even more Ratings, views, and Millions in sorrow, sales, and Roles. Johnny deeps next role would be for 1Billion and 70% profit for a 15min gig while his wife; ex-wife is ****ing trillionaires for zillions!

I agree with that about Vanessa. He seemed to really have a good thing going with her. He was a fool to throw her to the side, especially in favour of AH. You know he's a good person when even all of his exes still speak very positively about him.
He's been giving to charity way before this $1 million settlement. He's been doing this for years. Besides, he donated to the charities that AH "pledged" to but never actually gave money to, even many years later, not a dime. He proved his point, so I don't think it was a PR move. It was him keeping his word.
