When Butterc5b4up went out to order him to do something and he was outside. When he lifted his eyes up to see her and his hair was all tusselled..my heart stopped.
He was the first man I had ever fallen in love with and I was 5 years old! That scene still brings back the same effect sigh.
He doesn't look the same anymore but I still think he's sexy :0). -

Efilated, we're not talking wrinkles here. We're talking weight. Actually, Elwes isn't particularly wrinkledjust bloated.
Isn't it nice to know we can be just as shallow, when talking about male actors?

To the beginner of this thread: So what? Let Hollywood stars, whether great or not, age in
dignitiy
and have the
integrity
to be kind because, honestly, today's teen generation is saying worse things about you and your generation. Don't get offended that I'm trying to be cruel, but I do know this - I've overheard my brother's conversations with his friends and it's not nice at all.
Show some respect. Honestly.

I still think he's as attractive as ever. So what he's gained a few pounds. He still has a young face for being around 45 years old. And this is coming from a 16 year old girl. He a good looking man. And you can always lose a few pounds.

Having seen Cary Elwes last night in
Georgia Rule
, I feel pretty sure that it's not age that's made his face look so bad, it's just a moderate amount of weight gain. He actually looks young for someone in his mid forties; but he's clearly one of those people who gain weight in their face quickly, so that he simply can't afford to be even a few pounds overweight if he wants his face to look good at all.
That said, I thought that in
Georgia Rule
his appearance was actually quite appropriate to his character of a self-absorbed, obnoxious, somewhat nerdy wealthy trial lawyer. I can see a person like that getting pudgy and not realizing or caring how off-putting his appearance was beginning to be. Perhaps Cary can rationalize this episode in his life as a Robert De Niro

-style exercise in weight gain for a part, and proceed to slim down so as to once again become the exemplar of yuppie suavity and stylishness that he used to be.
