I loved the unveiling of her Hollywood star. I love that the general public normal, unfamous peeps like me can just randomly watch it. I also love to look at the reactions of regular tourists as they randomly see Jodie (or in past cases) Quentin Tarantino, Samuel L. Jackson, Russell Crowe, etc. She was so sweet to us afterward, too.
I also thought about all of the hard things she has had to endure; i.e.: the Reagan-shooting lunatic, people's petty problems with her sexuality, etc.
I'm just a straight white guy, but I have a heart.
The next day I heard a stand up comedian mention Ellen Degeneres then moments later say, "you think I give a fk about that dyke?"
I wanted to rush the stage and punch him in the fing face.
Jodie, you fing rule. -

Kristy McNichol? She's been gone for decades and when she was around she was labeled difficult to work with, which later was explained because of her mental issues. How can you tell if she's sweet? Or do you mean her screen persona seems sweet?

Proof? Because I have never ever seen Jodie Foster in her 50 year career act "bitchy and ignorant" to a reporter who was being nice and respectful towards her. Not saying she's incapable of having bad moments like anyone else, but she's always such a professional, that surprises me.

Mentioning Hinckley will get her angry..even make her walk out on an interview. Interviewers are told this beforehand about her; that it's a subject she refuses to discuss, always has been, and IMO that should be respected and left alone.

The last time she was asked about this (
) she replied in the kindest way. Even when she hates the subject, she still manages to be polite and gentle. People remember her for walking out of interviews even today, I wish they would remember interviews like the one I posted. -

Like Jodie herself has said, "Cruelty might be very human, and it might be cultural, but it is not acceptable".. and she is so right. You people should keep this in mind when you're criticising her. Anyway, for what it's worth, I think she rocks! ?
