Was just wondering, because people have always told me I look like Jodie Foster (I'm 24 now, and been told this since I was 10). I know she is past her prime now, but back when she was younger did guys think she was attractive?

John Hinckley Jr. certainly did.
Yeah, I heard about him before he became obsessed with her after seeing her in Taxi Driver & she was like 13 at the time! Talk about a weirdo that needed to find someone his own age!

Hey now, she may have been young in
Taxi Driver
but she was still hot. That's why she was cast. She actually played a hooker in 2 movies in 1976 (besides
Taxi Driver
), the other being
Bugsy Malone
. And she looked amazing in
Carny

She was a sex symbol at an early age. You can't blame men for being attracted to her, blame Hollywood for creating the image. And she still looked good throughout the 2000s.

She was in college when Hinkley was stalking her and she was going to be his shooting victim until he changed his mind and went after Reagan to try to get her attention instead. He was beyond being a weirdo, he was an obsessed lunatic.

43 here. She is very charismatic, which added to attractiveness = wow. Then again, I basically have grown up from birth with her. She was in 70s tv shows that had a lot of syndication. Freaky Friday was one we all knew.
But the she took the huge step of doing The Accused, which was powerful, and frightening, and just hard to watch. At that time, that movie took a lot of courage.
Then she knocked it out of the world, playing Clarice. And to this day she is still Clarice at times. Silence of the Lambs was ground breaking.
I still love her in Contact. She has picked up some bad guy roles and serious roles, which seems to happen with actresses as they get older, and she does well there.
Heck, I've never known life without Jodie. She has a really unique speech pattern and dialect, which I am so used to it just seems right. She turns on the teary doe eyes pretty well, which works to convey joy or sadness.
Point of all this - yes, she is a beautiful woman, young and middle aged, but it's her talent and presence that works for me.
