He made frequent guest appearances on Letterman and play the night's music with his bluegrass band. I can't believe he plays the banjo.

anyway hollywood needed to blacklist mel gibson. drunk or not you can't say anti-semitic things. drunk people are more open to saying what's on their mind but if they say something or not doesn't matter because it was on his mind and he believed what he said.
even worse though is what he said to his ex which was recorded. maybe the worst things i've ever heard any person say to their ex or current love.
for jodie foster to continue to defend him and work with him is wrong.

I think when he was with that girl with whom he had a baby with back in 2009, he got his dick sucked in a jacuzzi.

Sure you can. That's what free speech is all about: the right to voice
              unpopular
              opinions without fear of persecution.
drunk people are more open to saying what's on their mind but if they say something or not doesn't matter because it was on his mind and he believed what he said.
Agreed 100%. But people are allowed to believe whatever they want. I hope you're not advocating for the concept of a thought police?
even worse though is what he said to his ex which was recorded. maybe the worst things i've ever heard any person say to their ex or current love.
Sure, that was terrible. But those
              were
private conversations. If people are being dicks in private, that's none of
              our
business. Would you be ok with being hung out to dry in public for things you said or did in a private setting, and whilst drunk, at that?
for jodie foster to continue to defend him and work with him is wrong.
How on earth can you say that that's wrong? Is she not allowed to make her own judgements?
Personally, I think Mel Gibson is probably a horrible human being. But I also happen to enjoy his movies, and one thing has nothing to do with the other. To demand that he be blacklisted from making movies because of his personality is a non-sequitur. If you don't want to watch his movies because of his off-screen personality, that's fine, you don't have to. But to demand that other people should adhere to your standards is pretty brazen.

but here's the important qualifier you have the right to do or say whatever you want to but have to take the punishment that society gives you. there is always consequences for bad behavior.
doesn't matter if those things he said were private, the fact is they got out thus proving he's a horrible person. no one should ever say those things to anyone. i don't care how mad you are or how bad the other person is or what the person did.
in a court of law those recordings might not be admissible but in the court of popular and public opinion he's done in hollywood.
i'm allowed because like you said i can say whatever i want to about jodie foster. she is, but that doesn't mean that it's right. notice how no matter what movie he makes in the last 5 years it's never in theaters, hollywood is done with him.
they did blacklist him, for the ant-semitic remarks so it's not just my opinion about him it's factual that he's a bad person and was blacklisted.

"The nature of men and women - their essential nature - is so vile and despicable, that if you were to portray a person as he really was, no one would believe you."
                  -W. Somerset Maugham
There is a reason why we value privacy. None of us are prepared to be completely exposed to the public light, our innermost thoughts and secrets. The truth is, none of us measure up to anyone else. We do measure up when you take into account the positives, but at the same time we tend to be irrationally unforgiving of the
                  negatives
. Sometimes, the positives are great enough that we make an effort to
                  hide
the negatives, as was the case with John Rabe, a nazi leader who has been officially "de-nazified" because of his humanitarian contributions during the Nanking massacre. You can still easily find that he was a Deputy Group Leader in the NSDAP - no getting around that one - but if you want to find out what his personal views on the Jews were, you have to dig deep. Some sources even seem to go out of their way to emphasize that he was somehow not anti-semitic. But just wait until time has worn out his good deeds sufficiently, and his memory will be tarnished the same way as those of Edward Colston, Robert Baden-Powell or Hans Christian Heg - because in the end, negatives cancel out positives rather than the other way around.
i'm allowed because like you said i can say whatever i want to about jodie foster.
But you didn't merely voice your opinion on Jodie Foster. You said that
                  she was wrong
to defend him. In other words, you flat out said
                  she was wrong
to have an opinion different from yours. You really don't see how that is unreasonable? Of course you have a right to say it, but I have a right to point out the inanity of it.
they did blacklist him, for the ant-semitic remarks so it's not just my opinion about him it's factual that he's a bad person and was blacklisted.
So why did you say he
                  ought
                  to be blacklisted, then?

it's not an opinion that jodie foster is wrong in supporting him. it's factual, it's based on morals and ethics.

Morals and ethics are not matters of fact, but matters of opinion. All morals are subjective. To wit: I say Jodie Foster is morally and ethically
                      right
to support Mel Gibson. So who is going to arbitrate between you and me to decide, definitively, who is in the right and who is in the wrong?

then why is he blacklisted? the powers that be thought he shouldn't be in big movies anymore as well as kevin spacey. also, charlie sheen. there's a good reason you never see him in anything big anymore, it's because he got HIV and was horribly negligent with spreading it.
also, no, to say Christianity is not factual is wrong. Jesus is real, there are scientific proofs of his existence and a lot of other things in the bible. so, people of hate like mel gibson and adolf hitler shouldn't be in power or given chances in hollywood or be given luxuries.

What does his being blacklisted have to do with anything? The people who decide whom to blacklist are also subjective human beings. Add to the fact that they are afraid of losing money from judgemental people like yourself, and hey presto: you've got a blacklist.
also, no, to say Christianity is not factual is wrong. Jesus is real, there are scientific proofs of his existence
I have no idea why you're starting to talk about Christianity. No one mentioned it before you did. But sure, I love to discuss theology. So, what
                          scientific proofs
                          would you be referring to?
and a lot of other things in the bible.
No scientific proofs for anything in the Bible, no. But plenty of proofs
                          against
it. Hell, I don't even have to point to science, I can point to the numerous failed prophecies, contradictions and absurdities before I even begin to draw science into the mix.
so, people of hate like mel gibson and adolf hitler shouldn't be in power or given chances in hollywood or be given luxuries.
Or people like YOU, indeed. Hey, if you're so fond of the Bible, how come you don't actually know the teachings of Jesus? Where's your sense of forgiveness? Repaying evil with good? Honestly, you are exemplifying Gandhi's reply when asked what he thought about Jesus: "I like your Christ. I don't like your Christians; your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

                                        Three possibilities, bro:

                                        1. Because he's a dick.
                                        2. Because she's a dick.
                                        3. Because they're both dicks.
MAGA! FAFO! 😎 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 😎 Dumbocraps: evil people who celebrate murder. 😠

Mel? He's an all-around good guy and brilliant filmmaker. Only a fool would turn down an opportunity to work with him.
