Bad Look…..

I have no problem with the political satire when it comes to SNL.
I watched the very first show in the fall of 1975. I was there for it.
I was an idealistic DEMOCRAT!
I was there every time Chevy Chase stumbled and fell as Jerry Ford!
Phil Hartman was the BEST Bill Clinton!!!
It wasn't particularly funny (like some of Baldwin's Trump skits were) but it's par for the course.
All of this was funny! It's satire!
I'm for funny! I assume that this amused some people.
I find it sad that someone like Tom Hanks would do this, whatever the his political alliances are.
These actors/celebrities really ought to think about where their bread is buttered…
More than half the country voted Common Sense!
Hopefully, under Trump's watchful eye, we will have enough $$$ in our wallets to actually afford the price of a MOVIE TICKET!
THINK IT OVER, Mr. Hanks.

That was appalling and tasteless.
It also goes to show that the Tom Hanks we all fell in love with was not actually a nice guy. If he was willing to do this, he's a cruel and vindictive person and I'll never look at him the same way. It's sad because I always liked him as an actor, but seeing this, I was very disappointed.

I suppose that it really is a matter of what your political alliances are.
It's just that so many people who are affiliated with the Democrat party have this fixation with the idea/ word, Racism…
These people seem to associate it with Donald Trump!
Yet, look at all of the people who voted for him!
Now Look at this SKIT!
Why would anyone not want to shake hands with another person?

I really don't know, and in this context, I've never seen a MAGA person or Trump himself refuse to shake hands with anyone, so this "skit" is based on bollocks and fearmongering. That's why it's not funny.

Tom was on The Tonight Show once with Barry Bonds as the second guest. When he came out and sat down Barry said to his face "You suck. Eddie Murphy is my guy…"

SNL has always hired comedic ACTORS. The original cast were all comedic actors!!
Tom used to be a comedic actor before becoming a dramatic actor. Tom was doing offensive things early in his career.

Apparently, you do not give a **** now!
It's alright! We don't always have to agree!
I just wish that we could all allow ourselves the freedom to exchange ideas without anger.

Why would I? His reappearance was a disappointment but it's not worth being angry about. He showed up for about 10 seconds at the very end of a skit I only watched because of him, and that 10 seconds was just a rehash of the least interesting part of his first appearance.

The 2016 skit was funny, though, and rather sweet. It was about Hanks's character finding common ground with the Black contestants. He didn't act scared of them at all.
Being terrified because the show's host approached him to shake hands–while proclaiming he wanted to shake hands–was not funny, or sweet, or anything else.
I loved the original sketch, even the final "punchline." This one was just mean-spirited.
