as for teri, i never heard any stories so i can't judge whether it was okay for her to be mean or not. but maybe she felt harrassed even when they were simply asking for a autograph? do you know if she also snapped at them if they simply said something like "hi, you're great in desperate housewives?" maybe she doesn't like giving autographs? lol
but it's probably very possible that these people are simply talking trash ;]

The problem is not the regular fans, who are normal people who respect the privacy of celebrities, and will not approach them at restaurants, grocery stores, etc., but wait until a more appropriate setting, like a book signing, to approach celebrities.
The problem is the whackos of the world who have the same attitude towards celebrities, politicians, et. al. First, they are very complimentary. But when their expectations are not met, they become increasingly hostile and threatening. Many are even stalkers. It is because of that sort of people that many celebrities are very reserved when it comes to fans.
The paparazzi are in a class by themselves. Some of them may actually be nice people, but for the most part they 1354act like professional scumbags. They place their own greed, and the opportunity to snap a photo that could net them $50,000 or more, above the safety and well being of celebrities and the people around them. In the extreme case, they can contribute to the death of people like Princess Diana.

Also you have to remember that celebs are people too with emotions and whatnot. So say you're having a horrible day, and normally you kind of snap at or you're rude to people who talk to you. Well if you're a celeb it is 10 times worse because if you're in a bad mood there might be people running up to you and screaming in your face and you are just not in the right frame of mind or you're not in the mood for someone bothering you that day.

I don't get why people would wan16d0t to go upto a celeb and tell them how much they love them etcunless they were a kid in which case it's natural. It is just strange. It's no different than me or another non celeb being bothered by the old lady on the bus who starts telling you all about her family. If I walked past a celeb I would say hi but that's all that's necessary IMO.

Personally, I could care less whether a "celebrity" was nearby or not. However, most of those people truly lack skills other than "acting" (and, in alot of cases, that is debatable). A good number of them have no training to do anything else or may not have advanced education. The ones that are successful and qualify as celebrities are vastly overpaid for any real skill. A good part of that salary is based upon their popularity. I think that it is part of the job for a celebrity to be gracious and nice when they encounter fans. (I am not talking about crazed stalker fans or situations where the celebrity might be in physical danger!). It really bothers me when people yap about these celebrities and their right to "privacy" as if that really would excuse them from being warm and polite to their fans. People, they got into a line of work where success is based upon recognition and popularity and they are handsomely paid for it. If they don't want the media following them, being interrupted by fans when they are out in the public, and really value their "privacy," they should get OUT of acting and do something else for which they are qualified (probably making a heck of alot less money than they do now).

In June 2006 Teri Hatcher came to London to sign copies of her book Burnt Toast. On a very hot day l2000ots of people lined up for along time in anticipation of her arrival.Sadly we probably all wish we had not wasted our time and money. She was very unfriendly you could not really get near her or speak to her somone took your book she signed it handed it to them and they handed it back to you.I asked her if I could have a picture with her.NO.I asked if she could just sign the photo' of her I had bought 10 minutes ago.NO.I wished I had never bought her book and I have never read it.Not a nice woman she was clearly here to just take money and gie nothing memorable back in return

I have firsthand experience with Wes Craven, having pretty much that same experience. My mom told me William Shatner was the same when she met him, but when I met him for a photo, he was very nice.
So, thinking about it, I think Wes and William both acted that way because of the long line and they felt the need to rush; still, though, with all three of them, I don't think that's any excuse to ignore the people who, to be honest, keep your celebrity going and, in cases with some celebrities, made it possible to begin with.

Bruce Willis said it perfectly about fame: Being famous is just like alcohol, it's just a little more of it. If your an a$$ h*** your more of an a$$ h***, if your a nice guy, your more of a nice guy.

ASk Dean Cain and Howie Long, f2000rom what I've heard she couldn't get along with either one of them. She may seem nice on her autobiography, but name an autobiography that starts with "I'm a mean nasty bastard." She had a long reputation of Diva behavior stemming all the way from Lois and Clark.

She can get a little too excited for work, Teri's a passionate gal and sometimes not in a good way which might be the reason she didn't get along with Dean Cain and now she doesn't get along with Marcia Cross.`

The current issue of TV Guide states she doesn't get along with any of the other women in the DH cast, due to some incident which took place in 2010. She completely distances herself from the others, and was sent away to some event at the time of the final table read by ABC, on purpose. I've seen articles referring to her as difficult many, many different times on the Internet. I know these reports aren't always reliable, but there are so many, plus the TV Guide comments. Where there's smoke
Then there are the remarks made by Nicolette Sheridan in court that Hatcher was almost fired in 2010.
It's not important, but I am kinda curious as to what would cause such a rift.

Somebody among the Desparate Housewives is mean because the internet is showing a card that went with a luggage gift to the crew of the show and it was signed by all the girls except Teri. I can't see this happening unless there were very hard feelings.
