U know guys! **** u all! There are plenty of the REAL stories that show him in a GOOD way! As a really kind person! And what IS MEAN, is to write such things which have no proof by it! I won't deny that it could happen so, that he could be rude, angry or in a bad mood BUT, that doesn't reveal the actual personality of a man! So better keep ur mouth shut!

I don't give a crapthat doesn't change the fact that his acting perfomance is good. I don't care if Mell Gibson is a jew racistI still think Braveheart rox and he is somewhat one of my favouriote moviefilm actuers.

Mel Gibson a good actor are you drunk? Have you seen Signs? I bet you haven't that'll change your mind right there. Just because Mel Gibson was in a good movie Braveheart doesn't change who he is and how crappy of an actor he is!

Tequila Sunrise, Lethal Weapon 1,2,3,4, Payback, Braveheart, The Patriotall quality movies. Every actor has their pros and cons. Every actor has their bad movie once in a while. You can't only ask for perfection. Even quality actors like Al'Pacino and Robert De Niro have their bad2000 movies. You're just a troll anywaywhy do I bother responding :S

Last time I checked the actor that made the Lethal Weapons movies was Danny Glover not Mel Gibson. So that takes away 4 so in a 20 year acting career he has only had 2 good movies Braveheart and Ransom. Please what a pathetic career he needs to just go. Also never see the movie What Women Want two of the worst actors in history Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt.

Your Kidding, right? You must have NEVER seen those movies then, because the entire series follows the story of Danny Glover AND Mel Gibson's characters as police officers. Gibson's even on the damn cover of the movies!

They don't "owe" their fans anything
If I had a dollar for every time I heard that I'd be richer than TLJ.
                        But you're
                        wrong
. The fact of the matter is that they DO owe us. They owe it to us to be nice, kind, and considerate. Why? Because that's the way you're supposed to treat people. It doesn't matter how many times people come up to you during your day and talk to you, the right thing to do is to be kind and gentle. A business man who travels all over the world meets more people in his day than a celebrity does in a week. Does this business ma2000n say "Go away! I'm not in the mood, I've met enough people!" No, they don't. A good business man smiles, extends their hand and says "Hi, nice to meet you." There is no excuse for being rude and inconsiderate when a fan comes up to you.
We're supposed to be kind to each other, that's one of the fundamental values of life. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
I've heard plenty of stories about TLJ being very arrogant, demanding, and rude on set. Face facts, he's an @$$hole. It's not that he's having a bad day, that's rubbish. He just doesn't have respect for anybody except himself. Many directors find him difficult to work with.
I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes youstranger.

He seems like a very private person, but its sad to hear stories like this esp. about one of the best actors in Hollywood. Hell I met Kevin Kostner when he was making JFK down here in New Orleans, and he was as nice as can be..I also met John Goodman, very funny & nice person. I guess some of these guys get sick of all they hype surrounding them. Who knows?

I've worked on a few shows with TLJ and he is, without question, the most obnoxious person I've ever met, in or out 2000of the business. Even worse than Rutger Hauer and that's saying a lot. If you call him to the set and he has to wait 15 seconds while the juicers tweak a light, he throws a hissy fit. He had one female 1st Assistant Director in tears about once a week and has tried to direct every picture that I've been on with him and that's several. Actually he and I always got along fine, but he treated just about everyone else like dirt so it's perfectly understandable that when I've see him around town on Sundays or when he's on hold, he's always alone. And this isn't "badmouthing" him; he is simply a jerk and he's shaped that opinion all by himself with no help from me. One od guy I know did a show that TLJ directed. When I asked him how he got along with Tommy he said "Well we never really got into a screaming match, but by the time the show wrapped, he knew that I knew that he was an a**hole." Enough said

I've heard this about Mr. Jones as well. Its an unfortunate fact of life that all the actors and actresses we idolize are HUMAN with human failings. I've heard stories about Bill Cosby, Andy Griffith, Jerry Lewis, Betty White and many others. The general consensus is they are just not nice people in real life. Ms. White is said to cuss like Patton.
Think about it. They don't "owe" their fans anything. Yes, there are many celebrities who are said to be "the nicest person"; but they are all still HUMAN. Its no different in the non-Hollywood world, is it? There are those you know who are just not nice people. They are just not seen on TV and movie screens, thus they are only "infamous" to the people who know them on a daily basis.
"Think about it. If you were observing this planet, would
                                  you
                                  make contact?"

"Anybody else here have any REAL stories to share as well??? "
This is a true story related to me by a member at an elite country club I used to work at about a year ago. The guy telling me the story had recently flown somewhere on a business trip, and lo and behold seated in front of him in the first class section was TLJ. The member telling me the story, who I will refer to as Frank, was seated next to an Australian traveler who was apparently enjoying a few drinks and who also happened to be somewhat of 2000a TLJ fan.
First off, Frank told me that TLJ was extremely rude to the in-flight stewardess over some trivial issue. She was serving the in-flight meals and TLJ was working on something on his laptop computer and she simply was trying to do her job and ask him what he wanted to eat and he bit her head off for disturbing him from whatever he was doing on the laptop. Something like that.
Once the plane landed and the passengers were disembarking, the Australian guy greeted TLJ and politely expressed that he was a fan and extended his hand to shake TLJ's hand and was told to "Go away" without a handshake.Frank witnessed the entire exchange and as they were getting off the plane, walking directly behind TLJ he turned to the Aussie. "I'd like to shake your hand."
"Why is that?" asked the Aussie, shaking Frank's hand.
"Because," said Frank. "You just saved me a couple bucks. Because I'm never gonna see another one of this a$$hole's movies." TLJ heard him and turned around to glare at Frank.
I am not trying to bash TLJ, but I thought this story was pretty funny 😆

It makes me wonder how are favorite stars on TV are like in real life?? I mean, we all know that an actor or actress is playing a character on screen, but it makes me wonder "how is this man or lady we see on TV seen in real life"??
I also wonder if being in movies or tv makes a person look down on their fans, like their fans are inferior to them.
Just because fans love their favorite stars, does not mean the stars have to treat fans like dirt. But unfortanetly, I guess some stars do treat their fans like dirt. I guess some people have big egos!!
What are the purposes of signatures!!..

I think you're right Awerth. For some of them (perhaps TLJ is one), the big ego works to their advantage. Maybe that confidence and "screw the world" attitude actually helps them succeed. I can think of some real life people I know where this is the case. The entertainment industry is no different.

Well from the stories TLJ's rudeness is inexcusable. However, while they are normal people just like us I think they have an added disadvantage. Sure, it must be great to have fans and be popular but it will also be very tiring and annoying at times, because whenever out in public you have to be on top form, and there are times when you just want to be left alone. So like I said, TLJ acted like a complete idiot to these people, but we should always examine the situation too.
