Yeah, that's my two cents, folks.

Yeah, that's my two cents, folks.
I think that Berenger would make an ideal Davis to Jones' Hudson as in the book by Hemingway. Those two could really pass as good buds, also in real life. If I heard that they were friends, I'd say "yeah, seems about right".
So, yeah, go, go, go, dudes, team up. No need to work on the chemistry. It was carved in stone long ago. -

I had to read about this movie and it does sound like Berenger and TLJ would fit those characters not to mention it would be interesting to be around them on a movie set. I could see them having some fun together and their both so talented.

Not a bad ideaand Berenger could certainly do with a return to more serious farebut I believe John Goodman is attached to that role, or at least he was when the project was last covered in the media (which was about two years ago).

Goodman, eyh? I like Goodman. He was very good in "In the Electric Mist", so this could also be an interesting piece of casting.
He is not attached as per IMDb, but we'll see. He seems to have a lot on his plate, though, especially with "Treme", which looks terrific.
I would like to see Berenger in this. I think Jones' directing could really bring out the many sides of his talent - not just the badass side that every other director tells him to do. -

This project never happened, and I'm pretty sure I know why. Tom Berenger is one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet, a true gentleman, and a loyal friend. Tommy Lee Jones is a cruel, mentally unbalanced psychopath who should be exterminated.
