I've known a few folk to have died from pneumonia after beating what it was they were battling against.
It's the depleted immune system that the pneumonia stupidly takes advantage of.
It's rife in hospitals killing far more people than it should due to the large amount of unwell people in them.
It does suck though, he was a cool dude.

He was battling several comorbidities. Pneumonia is just what they put on the death certificate.

He still died as a result of the cancer. The guy didn’t look after his health.
