I'd say mid 2000s but he has enough money that I doubt he really cares. What shocks me about him though is that he looked REAL young all the way to about 2005 or 06 and then went downhill rapidly from there and started gaining weight. I hope Mr. Kilmer is ok. He's a great actor.

I think that the issue w/ Kilmer is that he seems like the type of actor who when hes not 100% committed to the project (or doesnt entirely trust/has faith in the project and/or director) will go out of his way to be the biggest ass he could possibly be. He seems like even though Hollywood tried to make him a traditional leading man (like his turn as Batman), he would rather be a quirky character actor, if that makes sense. I guess what Im trying to say is that Kilmer can never find a compromise.

i love how he was the newer version of marlon brando. marlon was also very eccentric and had these weird quirks in his personality. i read that marlon if he wasn't reined in by the director he'd sabotage the movie production. he was very difficult to work with just like val.
i'm sure marlon is a big influence on him and always has been. i love that thy worked on a movie together the island of dr. moreau.

He should have done the second Batman in 97. Big mistake. In my opinion he was the best.

exactly red planet was his last big movie and thus right after his career was over.
sad he should have had the same career as brad pitt so a career that lasted 50 years but he didn't

Val Kilmer was a way better actor than Brad Pitt
But Pitt was probably a better businessman

I disagree, I realize that his voice is no longer the same because of the throat cancer that he had but I think that he is still a pretty good actor even without it. He did a really good job in the Movie "
                    TOP GUN: MAVERICK
" (and yes I know that he only had 1 scene in it but I don't care).

I agree with AnthonyRocks. I think Sir Kilmer is doing well.
