Two of the worst Dark Tower novels. How can you pick either of those over The Gunslinger?
That series falls apart after The Wastelands.

hey screw u buddeh i loved both of those books probs gonna get something tattooed from them
i had similar experiences with the gunslinger and w&g tbh
bored to literal tears for the first half and then like
towards the end
wolves is more of a sentimental choice bc i was going thru some weird times at that age , the book/series gets quite ridiculous once it starts leaning heavily into the meta bullshit

I swore I’d never read a King novel again. He just can’t write long form without descending into folksy farce.
He is extremely good at shorter stories though:

• The Way Station
• The Jaunt
• Suffer the Little Children
• Dolan's Cadillac
• The Ten O’Clock People
