Terrific writer and word smith, though I can only attest to being a fan of his up until the 90's.
He just seems bonkers and his TDS is making him more of a loon.

He makes up **** just to deride the right and ends up with egg on his face. Look at his Kirk comments which he had to retract and he sucks up big time to Hollywood, so he won't get cancelled.
