I never said I saw all 40, can you maybe tell me one where you found his acting good?
The ones I have seen are :
Nightwatch (i believe)
Shallow Grave (not too bad in it actually)
Moulin Rouge (ick)
Black Hawk down (rubbish)
The Island (yuk)
Big Fish (can't remember much to be honest)
Stormbreaker
Decepetion (i guess he was good here, so add that one)
Angels and Demons (yuk)
Haywire (ew)
Jack the Giant Slayer (barf)

I think he peaked with Trainspotting. It's his best performance. He's not a bad actor though, he's usually very charming and watchable, even in the terrible films he does.

Umm, no. He's a very good actor. The fact that his performances stood out in the poorly received Star Wars prequels, is a testament to to his acting ability. Watch him in The Ghost Writer, Beginners and Black Hawk Down.

I love Ewan. He has played in some beep ass movies, like Haywire, but he's still really good.
