Wow I did not know that, I could not picture Jim Carrey playing Dr.Evil personally. Well thanks for agreeing about the dramatic idea. Mike Myers in my opinion hides behind comedy, we have all seen Jim Carrey in differnt parts(Eternal Sunshine, The Truman Show and a few others including horror). It would really put Myers up in his career to do a good dramatic role. Well thanks for replying:)

Interesting concept, but as others have mentioned, both of these gents are getting up there in age and experience.
Maybe something like an "odd couple" project, where they could play older characters that reflect off of each other.
Carrey is quite a bit more "manic" than Myers, and Myers does better voices and characterizations of "real people".
I'd like to see it, with the proper project. -

I read about a movie in Carrey's in-developent list called Sober Buddies. The movie is about a hard-partying software exec assigned a court-appointed Sober Buddy to keep him under control during a critical business trip to Las Vegas. A perfect plan falls apart when the Sober Buddy (Carrey) falls off the wagon. I could totally see Myers in the opposite role. This could be the movie for them to team up for.

As Carrey has played The Grinch, a Dr Seuss character, and as Myers has played The Cat, another Dr Seuss character, why not both of them reprise their roles for 'The Cat in The hat Grinches The Grinch'. This was an actual book and animation by Dr Seuss which brought these two characters together in a faceoff.

But why would Myers reprise a role from what many critcs consider his worst movie, a real debacle? When bad movies have sequels, the cast and characters are usually different.
The sun is shining but the ice is slippery.

Since this is an old thread, I am not sure anyone is going to respond to this. Here is the link for that old animated version of The Cat and The Grinch actually appearing together.
