    i loved him!
IMO he should have been nominated for best supporting actor haha even though he only had 5 mins but it was nice seeing him in something different.

It was such a small role in one small scene that I couldnt get an impression of what I thought of him.
Im surprised he was even considered as a part of the cast, its more of a cameo basically!

He was awesome. He did a great job walking the line of being funny and appropriatley serious. That made the role. I wish he got a little more time.

I thought his performance/character was a little too distracting.

My friends alerted me to him being in the film so it was a very WTF moment when I seen him as the admiral. Film starts, Nazis killing Jewish families Nazi soldiers getting brained then scalped hello there's beep Mike Myers.
I dont know what to think - its just very odd. He didn't do too badly on the serious front, but then he did that almost knowing smile thing like he doing one of his goofy characters. I think if I hadn't of been so aware of it being him I'd have just took it as a good piece of quirky acting, but that guy only had to grin and I expected him to go "Oh behave baby! YEAH BABY!!"

Wasn't the best. Mainly because I'm more a fan of the characters he comes up himself and creates.
But still a good film nevertheless.

Wow, thanks for the heads up sweetie. I never knew Mikey was in IB after watching the film twice.

Not much really since it basically was a cameo. Hard to think anything about that.

A friend and I saw this together and we just busted out laughing. We thought I twas some kind of hidden "inside" joke or something. He does this kind of thing most of all, so it was really impossible to tak16d0e him all that seriously.
I'm surprised so many of you didn't recognize him straight away.

I knew he was in this film when I went to the cinema (also knew that he was playing a English general) so was keeping a eye out for him.
For some reason I was expecting something eccentric and over the top (basically Blackadder style..) yet took me a moment to recognize him

I don't think the actors 'inhibited' their characters. The script took care of that for them.

Didn't think it was much of a role, or film. He attempted a sort of Peter Sellers; not relying on comedy but not playing it straight. A dry energy, expository in nature and, well, he didn't suck or anything, but it was highly forgettable or else that performance would have given MM more character-actor roles since, after all, it was a popular film.
I just wish Rod Taylor wasn't wasted: his split-second Winston Churchill was frustrating.
